A bathroom wall mirror is one of the most important pieces that will need to be included in a bathroom remodel. Every bathroom needs some sort of a mirror. It gives you a place to freshen up and get ready after a bath or shower and also adds the illusion of more space to a room that is usually quite small.

Types of Mirrors

Choosing a bathroom wall mirror can be a bit tricky especially if you're new to the decorating game, because there are quite a few different types of these mirrors to choose from. It's going to depend more than anything on a few factors in particular. One is how much space you have to work with in the bathroom, or how large the space is.

Secondly, your personal taste should be reflected here. The bathroom wall mirror should be one of the focuses of the room and so you want to be sure that you're picking the right one. There are a few types that are quite popular and which are worth extra consideration.

One of the first types of mirrors is the swiveling wall mirror. This is a less common choice but one that can look great in the right bathroom. This is one of the cheapest options and is a smaller sized mirror that's connected to a swiveling rod which is attached to the wall.

It's great for putting on makeup or shaving in the morning and works very well if it's placed in the right spot, where light sources are directly on it. Because of the smaller size of these mirrors however, they are really not the best choice if you're looking to get more of a focus piece or one that you can see more of your reflection in.

There are also wall hanging mirrors which are stationary to the wall. You mount them where you want and they will stay there. While they do not swivel or move, the great thing about these mirrors is that you can pretty much get them in whatever size you want. As long as you have the right mounting hardware you can put a large mirror up and not have to worry about it falling.

It's very important to consider the size and type of bathroom wall mirror that you are choosing based on other elements in the room. You wouldn't want a supersized bathroom wall mirror in a tiny bathroom because it is going to be too overwhelming. Have patience when deciding on a bathroom wall mirror because it is going to be one of the most significant elements in the room.
