This is almost the same picture, but a little less close up. You can see some of the tile spacers that are used to keep an even distance between the tiles. A nail was used to keep the 6 inch tile in place because it was installed before the deco tile. Not sure why.

Near the bottom of the picture is a corner of the shampoo box - recessed and built into the wall. It would have been nice to run the deco line through the shampoo boxes, following the shape. Our contractor said it would be too time consuming, and we didn't want to extend the budget to include this. We'll see in the following years if it was the right decision.
