Finally, a bigger view of the shower stall floated in mortar. From here, we can see most of the structural features of the stall including the step, the floor, the bench seat, and up the walls. Some tar paper sticks out from the ends of the mortar bed - this will be trimmed off before the tile is installed.
Also, we can see the infamous unknown white square thing on the floor of the shower stall. Also, you can see the edge of the mortar as it travels up the wall. Notice how straight and flat it is. How the contractors got it so flat and straight like that, I do not know - but suffice to say that the chicken wire probably had something to do with it.
